The Sutter Metals company opened its doors in 2009 as Lacey Auto Recycling and was solely a vendor of used auto parts. Since then, the Sutter Metals family has grown from the ground up through local support and thus has evolved its services to respond to the local demand for salvaging various used metal material.
Chad Sutter is the owner and operator of the Sutter Metals company. His roots are grounded in Olympia soil as he was born and raised within the historical city. His passion for local service survives the commercial legacy of his father Ed Doench who was the long-time owner of Nisqually Auto Wrecking which sold used auto parts. Through his personal commitment to community service, Chad envisions a company that will continue to grow with the local community and provide a tailored service of satisfaction which supports a sustainable and profitable approach to recycling
A locally-bred prodigy of the Olympia community, Chad is the CEO of Sutter Metals. His business endeavors reach far above the heights of his recycling business. He is an active member of local and national business advisory groups and maintains enduring relationships with state and national-level industry leaders.
Our actions today impact the shape of the tomorrows for ourselves and for others. Sutter Metals is committed to its business of seeing an opportunity in the face of a global challenge. Each month, our facility recycles thousands of tons of scrap metal. As our communities seek to reduce its environmental thumbprint, we strive to become the one-stop depot for recycling metal, electronics, cardboard, and plastics, made possible by innovation and made probable by people.
Sutter Metals is a family-owned business that equally values professional growth and business development. As owners raised by the diverse community of families, we recognize that the greatest business investment is in its employees. In this industry, we strive to remain unmatched in competitive compensation and benefits package for all team members, inclusive of comprehensive medical insurance and retirement plan.
